We went there with some friends. Wow! What a great time we had. Great beer and pool tables. The bar tenders were very cool. The place is clean and friendly.

Great fun. Food is delicious and the drinks are a generous pour. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you visit Big Horn County, do not miss Shell Bar.

Arts & Humanities | Trapper Creek Workshop & Lecture Series held its first "Meet 'n Greet" with artist Jesse W. Green Friday, May 16. Shell Bar is a terrific venue to host a gathering to introduce famous, accomplished people to the Shell Community. The Bar graciously opened is doors to accommodate a friendly event where everyone could visit and get to know one another. Thank you, Patty and Gene, for all you do!

Had the best time visiting Shell Bar!! The entire team was so inviting and made delicious drinks. The fun doesn’t stop at drinks, there is activities too!! I played Pool and Shuffle Board while enjoying time with my friends family & locals from around the area. So glad there is a place in Shell to bring everyone together. Thank you Patty & Jean!!!

I really love the vibe here. It is not some smoky bar filled with belligerent inebriated people. Very low key. Food was great. Staff and service was amazing. Shout out to Hannah who checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed. There is pool, shuffleboard and an outdoor area, a big screen tv to watch the games on. I felt 'community' there. Can't say enough good about it.

Such a friendly crew! The facility is beautiful with a very home pub feeling. Nice get away to small town Wyoming. We will definitely be back many times. Perfect stop to take a break after skiing Antelope Butte!

What a great experience! Shell bar was an absolute blast! Getting to hang out with the local's and having the best cocktails. They have a solid wine list and great food too! We were lucky enough to stay in the cabin, so cozy and cute. Walking distance to the bar and store. The owners are hands on and what great hosts! Love this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shell Bar! The vibe is lively, welcoming and friendly. Terrific selection of beers, wine, well drinks and even non-alcoholic options. Plenty of seating at the bar and there are tables for small and large groups to gather. We had a great time playing shuffleboard with visitors from Sheridan. Acuna Catering served up a delicious chicken fajita dinner. A++

We were captivated by the stunning architecture and thoughtful design of both the exterior and interior of the bar. Inside, rich wood accents set a warm tone, and the preservation of Shell Town’s original post office—now cleverly transformed into a pool room—offers a charming tribute to local history. Every corner reflects the Shell Bar brand with refined detail, from subtle design touches to a sleek shuffleboard room enclosed by windows and overlooking a lush green lawn. The outdoor space, with its dreamy and whimsical atmosphere, would be a perfect setting for a wedding or anniversary celebration under the stars. On the day of our visit, the LG Root Beer Float made its debut, and none other than the legendary Loren Good toasted the occasion—here he is, raising a glass with his great-grandson and future farmer, both savoring the fizzy delight. This bar is more than a place to grab a drink—it’s a place for connection within the community. Gene and Patty have created something truly special, blending function with heartfelt beauty, and welcoming every guest like family.
